Dr.
Douglas Robinson is board certified by the American Board
of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.
He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons
and a former clinical instructor for Stanford University and San
Jose State University. He has lectured nationally and locally,
focusing on prevention and early detection of foot and ankle
conditions in the general population and athletes.
A native of the Bay Area, Dr. Robinson received his Doctor
of Podiatric Medicine and Master’s degrees from the
California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. He received
his undergraduate degree in economics in 1983 from Chico State
University, where he also minored in chemistry. He completed
his foot and ankle surgery residency in Dallas and San Francisco
in 1989. His sports medicine and trauma training focused on
the Marines in San Diego and the Army Rangers in Atlanta.
Dr. Robinson is a state examination commissioner, past president
of the local podiatry association, and was honored as the
state volunteer of the year in 1997.
Dr. Robinson is an avid triathlete, runner, and skier and
has a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He specializes
in sports medicine, surgery, and preventive biomechanics.
He lives in Los Gatos with his wife and two daughters. He
enjoys scuba diving, traveling abroad, sports cars, and spending
time with his family.
